Sight-in assistant
Know exactly where to aim
Pick the distance you’re zeroed at and the distance you’re shooting. Digital Armory estimates the bullet’s path and tells you the holdover and the clicks to dial.
- MOA or MIL, with 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 1 MOA or 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2 MIL clicks
- Yards or meters, with any zero and target distance
- Group correction: enter how far off you are and get the turret clicks
- Drop table and trajectory chart out to 1,000 yards
- Wind, altitude and temperature corrections with wind holds at every distance (Pro)
- A printable dope card you can print or save as a PDF (Pro)
- 21 editable cartridge presets and saved zero profiles for each rifle
Private by design
Your records are sensitive. Digital Armory never sends them to us.
Your iCloud, not ours
Data syncs through your private iCloud database. We have no servers and can’t see your information.

Frequently asked questions
My data isn't syncing between my devices
Make sure each device is signed in to the same Apple Account and that iCloud is turned on for Digital Armory (Settings → your name → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud). Sync can take a few minutes, especially for photos. You can check the status in the app under Settings → Backup.
How do I back up my records?
When you're signed in to iCloud, your armory backs up automatically to your private iCloud account. For an extra copy, open Settings → Export Inventory (CSV) and save the file somewhere safe.
How do I move my data to a new iPhone?
Sign in to the same Apple Account on the new iPhone, install Digital Armory and open it. Your firearms, photos and logs download from iCloud automatically.
Photos are using too much iCloud storage
Go to Settings → Photo Storage, choose Compact, and tap Shrink Existing Photos. Compact photos are usually 100–250 KB each.
How do I group identical firearms?
Firearms with the same manufacturer and model group together automatically. To group others, give them the same group name when editing. You can turn grouping off in the sort menu on the Armory tab.
How do I measure a group from my target photo?
When you log a range session, add a target photo and tap Measure Group on Photo. First tap the two ends of something with a known length, such as a 1 in grid square, to set the scale. Then tap the center of each bullet hole. The app fills in Best group and shows it in MOA for the session's distance.
Which devices can measure a target with LiDAR?
Measure Target with LiDAR works on iPhones with a LiDAR scanner (iPhone 12 Pro and later Pro models) and recent iPad Pro models. Hold the phone square to the target, about 1 to 2 feet away. The shutter turns on once the phone is level enough for an accurate reading. On other devices you can still measure groups by setting the scale by hand.
How do I change the app icon or color theme?
With Digital Armory Pro, go to Settings → App Icon & Theme and choose Sky, Olive Drab, Ember or Stealth. The Home Screen icon and the highlight color in the app change together. iOS shows a short message to confirm the icon change.
How accurate is the sight-in calculator?
It estimates the bullet's path from your muzzle velocity, ballistic coefficient and sight height, assuming sea level and no wind. Use it as a starting point, enter your real ammo data, and always confirm on paper at a safe, approved range.
Which way do I turn my scope turrets?
Turn each turret in the direction the app shows. For example, if your group is high, dial DOWN. Turret markings vary between scopes, so check your scope's manual for its direction and click value.
Face ID isn't working or I'm locked out
The app lock uses your iPhone passcode as a backup. Tap Unlock and enter your passcode. You can turn the lock off in Settings → Privacy.
How do I delete my data?
Delete records in the app at any time. To remove everything from iCloud too, go to Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, choose Digital Armory and delete its data.
Can I buy or sell firearms in the app?
No. Digital Armory is a private record-keeping tool. It doesn't sell, transfer or advertise firearms, ammunition or accessories.

Privacy Policy

Who we are
Digital Armory ("the App") is published by Dylan McCaffrey ("we", "us"). Contact: 33.savings-voyager@icloud.com.
Information you enter
You may enter details about your firearms (such as make, model, caliber, serial numbers, purchase prices and values), photos, range sessions, maintenance records and sight-in settings. This information is stored:
- On your device, protected by iOS data protection, and
- In your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit), if you're signed in to iCloud, so it can sync to your other devices and be restored.
Your private iCloud database belongs to your Apple Account. We have no access to it. Apple handles iCloud data under Apple's Privacy Policy.
What we collect
Nothing. The App has no accounts, servers, analytics, advertising, tracking or third-party SDKs. We don't receive, store, sell or share any personal information.
Permissions
- Camera and Photos: used only when you choose to photograph or attach images of your own items. Photos are compressed and location data is removed before saving. When you measure a target with LiDAR, the depth reading is processed on your device and only the target's measured size is saved with the photo.
- Face ID / Touch ID: optional, used only to lock the App. Biometric data never leaves Apple's Secure Enclave and is never available to us.
Exports
If you export your inventory as a CSV file, the file is created on your device and shared only where you choose to send it. Exported files aren't encrypted, so please store them securely.
Your control
You can edit or delete any record in the App at any time. Deleting the App removes its data from your device. To remove the iCloud copy, go to Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage on your iPhone or iPad and delete Digital Armory's data.
Children
The App is intended for adults aged 18 and over and isn't directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.

↑ Back to topTerms of Use & Disclaimer
Last updated October 10, 2026. These are the same terms you accept in the app.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By tapping "I Agree" or using Digital Armory (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use and Disclaimer ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App and delete it from your device.
2. Eligibility and Lawful Use
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and that you are legally allowed to own or possess every firearm you record. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and to follow all federal, state, provincial and local laws on owning, storing, carrying, transporting, shooting and transferring firearms and ammunition. The App does not tell you what the law requires, and nothing in it is legal advice. Laws change and vary by place, so check them yourself.
3. Firearm Safety Is Your Responsibility
Firearms are inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury, death and property damage. The App does not teach firearm safety or replace professional training, a qualified gunsmith, range officer instructions, or the manufacturer's manual. You alone are responsible for handling, storing, cleaning, maintaining and shooting your firearms safely. Always follow the basic rules of firearm safety: • Treat every firearm as if it is loaded. • Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to destroy. • Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target and you have decided to shoot. • Be sure of your target, what is behind it and what is around it. • Wear eye and ear protection, and shoot only at a safe, approved range or location. • Store firearms unloaded, locked and out of reach of children and unauthorized people. • Use only the correct, factory-specified ammunition for your firearm.
4. Sight-In and Ballistic Estimates
Holdover, drop, click, MOA/MIL and trajectory figures are mathematical ESTIMATES from a simplified model. The model assumes standard sea-level conditions, no wind and a level shot, and it relies on numbers you enter or on generic presets. Real results vary with your firearm, ammunition lot, optic, mounting, temperature, altitude, wind, shooting angle and shooter technique, and may differ significantly. Scope turrets differ by manufacturer, so always confirm adjustment direction and click value in your optic's manual. Never rely on these figures for any shot where an error could injure a person, animal or property. Always confirm your zero and holdover by shooting on paper at a safe, approved range. For hunting, verify your zero before every season and follow all hunting regulations and ethical shot-distance limits.
5. Maintenance Reminders
Cleaning reminders are general scheduling aids based on the intervals you choose. They are not a manufacturer's maintenance schedule or an inspection. They do not mean a firearm is safe to fire. If a firearm malfunctions, is damaged, or you are unsure of its condition, stop using it and have it inspected by a qualified gunsmith.
6. Your Data, Backups and Security
Everything you enter, including serial numbers, values, photos and receipts, is stored on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your private iCloud account managed by Apple. The developer of the App does not receive, see or store your data. You are responsible for the accuracy of your records, for keeping your own backups, and for securing your device, iCloud account and any files you export (such as the CSV inventory). iCloud sync depends on Apple's services and may be delayed, unavailable or fail. Data can be lost through device loss, account problems, software errors or deletion. Keep separate copies of anything important, such as receipts and serial numbers for insurance or police reports. Values shown are only what you enter and are not appraisals.
7. No Warranty
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP OR ITS CALCULATIONS WILL BE ACCURATE, ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, LOSS OF DATA, OR LEGAL PENALTIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR RELIANCE ON, THE APP OR ANY INFORMATION OR CALCULATION IT PROVIDES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
9. Assumption of Risk and Indemnity
You understand and accept the risks of owning and using firearms. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of firearms, your use of the App, or your breach of these Terms or any law.
10. Changes and Contact
These Terms may be updated. When they change, the App will ask you to accept them again before you continue. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the App.
